The Department of Prosthetic Dentistry includes applications for replacing lost teeth and surrounding tissues for any reason and regaining lost function, aesthetics, and phonation (intelligible speech). The type of prosthesis to be used for this purpose is determined according to the location and number of missing teeth, the current health and oral condition of the patients, and the patient's wishes and needs. Prostheses can be mobile or fixed. Treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders, implant-supported prosthesis applications, repair of deficiencies and irregularities in the maxillofacial region, and aesthetic dental treatments are also within the scope of prosthetic dental treatment.
The Department of Prosthetic Dentistry forms a large part of the student's theoretical and practical dentistry education. Our aim is to provide the best treatment to patients and the best education to our students in line with current scientific and technological developments.
